In this 2.5 hour-long visit of the National Gallery of Art, Tosca will lead you through an in-depth visit of the museum’s history and its masterpieces.
You’ve surely heard of Raphael, Da Vinci, Titian, Rembrandt, Monet, Van Gogh but do you really know their lives and why they are considered masters of their trade? We’ll dive into the lives of the most famous painters as we wander the rooms of the National Gallery. If none of the following names ring a bell to you, we’ll make sure that they do by the end of the tour.

AN ODE TO THE WOMEN OF THE NATIONAL GALLERY OF ART

In this unique and new tour of the National Gallery of Art, Tosca is exploring the different women present in the collection of the museum. Painters, subjects in the paintings or philanthropists, they played a key role in their function or are remembered for their legacies.
In this 2-hour guided tour, Tosca will walk you through a selection of artworks from various periods and art schools while sharing with you the challenges and difficulties faced by art institutions nowadays when it comes to changing the narrative.

For this guided tour (originally created for our partner Alliance Française D.C.), Tosca Ruggieri curates a special visit of French Art on view at the National Gallery of Art. During this tour, Tosca will lead you on an in-depth visit of the museum’s masterpieces covering four centuries of French Art. You will explore paintings by Georges de la Tour, Chardin, Fragonard, Ingres, Monet, Degas, Matisse and others.

RATES & CONDITIONS
cancellation policy
Guests can cancel until 7 days before the Experience start time for a full refund.
After this period, the organizer, Art With Tosca, can offer a credit to the guest for the full value of the event booked. Alternatively, the guest can receive a refund of 50% of the value of the event on their credit card. If a guest requests a refund within 24 hours of the start of the Experience, the organizer will only issue a credit. Once a tour has begun or has ended no refunds will be available.
In case I must cancel the tour (sickness, major problem), I will offer you to postpone the tour or to refund you the full amount of the tour.
In case of an unpredictable closure of a monument (because of strike, security reason, climatic conditions…), we will adapt on a case-by-case basis to find the best solution for all: postpone the tour, change the tour, partial reimbursement…
